A lifetime dedicated to musical excellence
Since capturing her attention at age three, Carol has been mesmerized by the piano's sounds, touch, and ability to express emotions and passions all in one instrument. This early passion led to a scholarship at the French School of Music, followed by a distinguished career that spans over five decades of teaching excellence alongside an active career as a concert pianist and recording artist. Carol holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory with a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy, studying with legendary teachers and mentors including Jean Stackhouse (Pedagogy), Anthony di Bonaventura (Piano), and Donald Waxman (Composition). A certified Master Teacher for the Royal Conservatory of Music, a Steinway Artist, and a publisher with BMI, Carol has been a member of MTNA for over 40 years, maintaining active professional ties across NJ, PA, SCMTA/CTM, and NEPTA, and has maintained a vibrant musical presence across NJ, PA, New England, and Florida.
As a Steinway Artist and two-time recipient of the Steinway Top Teacher Award, Carol brings exceptional artistry and pedagogical expertise to every lesson. Her students consistently achieve remarkable success — placing first and second in competitions at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall and Merkin Hall at the Kaufmann Center. Many have earned scholarships to conservatories and been accepted into gifted music programs.
Carol's studio is designed with each student's overall development in mind, not just their musicianship. She's extremely patient, imaginative, and sensitive to each student's personality, crafting specific programs that include technique, repertoire from Baroque to contemporary, sight-reading, theory, and composition.

Tech requirements
Acoustic Piano or Digital Keyboard
An acoustic piano or preferably a full-size (88-key) digital keyboard. Having a well-maintained instrument at home ensures proper touch and optimal technical development.
High-Speed Internet
A stable internet connection. We utilize high-fidelity audio settings across Zoom, Google Meet, and other platforms to ensure clear, lag-free musical tone and communication.
Device & Camera Angle
A laptop, tablet, or smartphone (the built-in webcam and mic work great!). The device should be positioned to the side of the keys on a stand or tripod, giving the teacher a clear view of your posture and hands.
What families are saying
“As a student of hers from elementary to high school, Carol fostered a lifelong appreciation of music! I continue to enjoy practicing and performing piano in college.”
““heaven sent for our family” Ms Carol is an amazing teacher. She is kind and patient and never gets daunted by sometimes cranky or ill prepared students. She is always cool as a cucumber! Her grace and professionalism is awe inspiring! She doesn’t just rely on a single book, she researches and uses other materials to ensure the student is learning and is well rounded. If my son is having trouble learning or remembering something, she looks for and introduces different ways so he could grasp the topic. She goes above and beyond! I’m clueless when it comes to music and when I don’t get something, she takes the time to explain it to me as well. She sends us printouts, recommends books and even apps to further my son’s learning. I could write so much more on why she is amazing but I think if you guys are looking for someone to learn from for yourself, your child or even your neighbor— Ms Carol is the best! I encourage you to see for yourself. My son is very blessed and lucky to have her as a teacher. 5 ⭐️”
“Ms. Carol is talented, thorough, and truly invested in each student’s growth. She brings out the best in each child and makes online lessons engaging, effective and inspiring. Highly recommended her!”
